Corey Seager says Dodgers are ready for the next challenge in World Series.

The Dodgers move on to the World Series after a 4-3 victory over the Braves to close out the NLCS. Corey Seager played a major role with a historic performance at the plate. After five home runs and 11 RBIs in the NLCS, Seager was awarded as the NLCS MVP.

The feat by the two-time all star marked the most home runs and RBIs in NLCS history.

“That was pretty cool,” said Seager on winning the NLCS MVP. “Obviously, It wasn’t just me though. That was a complete team effort right there. One through twenty eight went out there and just absolutely grinded through that series. That was even a fun game seven right there. That was a test every single night, and we were up for it. And we’re up for the next step too.”

Even after Los Angeles found themselves in a 3-1 deficit, Seager says the team always came out ready to play. Overcoming such an obstacle only serves as motivation as the Dodgers get set to take on the Rays in Game 1 of the World Series Tuesday.

“We never gave up, this team never quit,” said Seager. “We came out every night expecting to win. We got down 3-1 and still expected to win. So that’s a ‘tip your cap’ to that clubhouse, and how we responded. How we always came back, we always kept energy, we always found the big play; found the big spark. Whether it was defensively, offensively, pitching. We grinded through that series and it was a lot of fun to be on top of that one.”
